| Weighing in Hazardous
Areas: |
The risk of an explosion
can exist in a range of industrial locations such
as mines, factories, agricultural silos, and oil
and gas platforms, water and other chemical processing
environments.
The new ATEX ‘Equipment’ Directive (94/9/EC) now
covers dust hazards as well as those for gas.
If you have an area classified as Zone 21 or 22,
any new equipment specified MUST be suitable for
use in these areas, choosing equipment classified
for use in Zone 1 or 2 areas is no longer permitted. |
